- I just bought this light for my sons room. Really like the way it looks but also need it to light up the room. (not a big room, fyi. Maybe 10 x 10) Can you recommend the biggest and brightest bulb that'll do the trick?

The reason is because this fixture provides directional light, not ambient light. Ambient light is the all-encompassing, general illumination in a space that allows us to see and feel comfortable. It plays a crucial role in both practical and aesthetic aspects of lighting design. For a 10' x 10' bedroom, you need around 2000 lumens. Lumens is the unit of measurement that describes the amount of visible light emitted by a source. To achieve the 2000 lumens, it is best to use a fixture that has multiple sockets, this helps create a more comfortable, even distribution of light than a single bright source of light.
