Urchin Chandelier 27"
Description
Our Urchin Chandelier 27" is a brass starburst chandelier with a spiky personality, and it isn't sorry about it.
We start with a CNC-machined aluminum core and thread in 316 solid brass rods, one at a time, until the spines reach a full 27" across. Four lights sit at the center of the burst, so the brass catches the glow from every angle and the whole thing reads as sculpture first, light fixture second. At just 11" tall, it brings big presence without eating your headroom. Hang it over a dining table, in an entryway, above a bed, or in a home office that deserves a little drama. In boutique hotel lobbies, restaurant dining rooms, and salons, it becomes the thing everyone photographs. It comes in a brass finish and hangs from 17" to 35" with the included extension rods, with a sloped-ceiling option. Each fixture is made to order in our Minneapolis studio.
No apologies, just mid-century modern handcrafted for the 21st century.

Beautiful well built fixture
"The fixture is beautiful and well built. Some of the spines come out during shipping, but they were very easy to reinstall."
Urchin Chandelier
"A truly beautiful chandelier! Not only is the design stunning, but the quality of the fixture is also very nice (feels sturdy and substantial, and the brass finish is lovely). Came very carefully wrapped and packaged for a smooth delivery, which I very much appreciate as well. Very happy I stumbled across this brand!"
So many compliments!
"I've had so many compliments on this chandelier, which I purchased for my home office. I just had the office painted a deep navy blue and it looks incredible with the brass. I don't see a way to post a photo but I would if I could!"
Incredibly Beautiful
"This light is even more beautiful than I had hoped! Love everything about it!"
It's love
"We have had this light for probably three years now, and it hangs over our dining room table. We use white bulbs so we're not blinded as it is quite bright. We have quite an eclectic room as we had purchased this light and then found a deal we couldn't refuse on a very french-country table. It works, and we love it! Nothing but compliments on this light; it will move with us when we leave this house. It's that good."
Stunning!
"This fixture really is the “wow factor” that I hoped it would be in my entry. I needed a flush mount due to the fixtures location, over stairs and close to a skylight and this was really just perfect - my electrician even commented on it and he sees a lot of fixtures in high end homes in SF, so I took it as a complement. Also, wanted to comment on the excellent customer service from this company, when the fixture I ordered was going to take four weeks to ship - they communicated quickly and provided an alternative solution, which worked out perfect. Would definitely order again from this company - high quality products and great customer service!"

Q&A
- Hi - I've got a small home office that's about 10X11 feet. I really like the look of the 27 inch urchin better than the 20 inch, but would it be too large for my space?
- Hi there, the Urchin Chandelier 27" will not be too big for the space.
- You mention color samples. Is this fixture available only in brass and black, or is there an option for an antique brass?
- The Urchin fixture is only offered in a satin brass and black finish. Urchin [bead samples](https://www.duttonbrown.com/products/bead-sample-order) and [color samples](https://www.duttonbrown.com/products/color-sample) for all other fixtures besides the Urchin can be found in the [accessories](https://www.duttonbrown.com/collections/samples) section of the website.
