"I love how these lights look over our kitchen island. The ceiling above is high and vaulted. Customer service was helpful in answering my questions and suggesting I buy the “hang straight” adapter. I also bought multiple extension rods to get just the right height. We’re still finishing our reno but everyone has complimented us on the beautiful lighting."

"This light is so wonderful! I ordered one pendant light from Dutton and the same kind of light from another company (much cheaper but looked the same online). My goal was to compare the two products before making a final purchase of three lights in total. I got this globe light fixture out of the box and simply placed it over a lightbulb (from a table lamp). The inner glow, the reflecting light from the surroundings - it was far superior than the other company. Installing the light was easy as well. The only issue we have is that it does not sit completely flush with the ceiling, no matter what we do, but it's just very small and not too noticable... maybe a couple of millimeters from the ceiling. But that may our installation process - not the light fixture. Make sure to get the shipping insurance. One light came shattered in the box and the customer service team at Dutton quickly replaced it, no problem."

- Will the cap 10” pendant work over a kitchen island with 8 ft ceilings? I love these pendants - I just don’t want them to be too long for my mid century remodel
- Hi there, the Cap Pendant 10" is perfect for over kitchen islands. The fixture comes with one 12" rod which puts the fixture at a 26" hanging height. If this is too long, the 12" rod can be replaced with a shorter rod. If you have any further question or want help in determining the correct hanging height, please email us at [email protected].

- Hi there, yes, the Cap Pendant 10" is perfect above a kitchen island. The fixture comes with one 12" extension rods for an installed height of 26". If you need the fixture to hang lower, you will need to purchase additional [extension rods](https://www.duttonbrown.com/products/extension-rod) to get to your desired hanging height.
