Hi, How is bulb changed?
Hi there, the bulb included in the Color Reader Flush Mount is a standard E26 base, LED, PAR16 bulb, meaning it will unscrew like a standard bulb. To remove the bulb, you will simply apply pressue to the bulb with two or three fingers and turn it counterclockwise.
How far apart should I mount these on a ceiling over a kitchen island with 10' ceilings please?
A number of factors come into play when considering what lighting options are best for a space and how to place them. Such factors include island length, existing lighting in the space, how much light is needed, preference, etc. It may be best to determine how many based upon how much light you believe you'll needed. These fixture direct light down and onto a surface, but the higher the fixtures are, the less bright the light on the countertop may be. If you're just looking for general lighting (and not task lighting), then you have more flexibility with placement. If you need the light for task work, then it may be better to consider a fixture similar to our [Reader pendant](https://www.duttonbrown.com/products/color-reader-pendant) that pulls the light down a bit closer to the countertop.
