Quote Terms
These terms apply to every Dutton Brown quote. A quote covers the items, finishes, colors and quantities listed on it. Our Terms of Service also apply.

Price
- A quote is valid for 60 days from its date. After that, we update it to current pricing.
- If our prices go up within those 60 days, your quote holds.
- Every finish and color combination is the same price. A custom color is $500 per color per order.
- Pendants and chandeliers are quoted at the hanging height shown, without extra extension rods. Extra rods add to the price.
- Bulbs are not included, except on fixtures that take a PAR16 bulb.
- Trade pricing applies to the account named on the quote.
- A quote is not an order. It becomes an order when you pay it.
Payment
- Orders are paid in full before production starts.
- We accept credit card, check, ACH and wire transfer. The checkout link also takes Apple Pay, Google Pay, Meta Pay, PayPal and Amazon Pay.
- Purchase orders of $10,000 or more paid by card carry a 3% fee. Check, ACH and wire have no fee. Paying through the checkout link never carries a card fee.
- Payment terms exist only by written agreement with us.
Lead time
- Every fixture is made to order in Roseville, Minnesota.
- The lead time on your quote starts on the date of purchase. Large orders are quoted case by case.
- If we can't ship by the lead time we gave you, we'll tell you the new date, and you can cancel for a full refund of everything you paid, including fees.
- Expedite ships it within one week of purchase, for $150 or 30% of the order's retail value, whichever is greater. Expedite fees are non-refundable, except when you cancel because we're running late.
- We can hold a finished order for a later ship date.
Shipping
- We ship by FedEx, and USPS for small items, to the US and Canada. A physical address is required; no PO boxes.
- Shipping on a quote is an estimate. The final cost is set at purchase.
- Large orders ship by LTL freight, and the carrier calls to schedule delivery. Tell us if you need a liftgate, an appointment or a site contact.
- Local pickup in Roseville is available on request.
- Package protection is offered at checkout. It covers lost, stolen or damaged packages and includes free return labels. Without it, carrier claims are yours to file.
Sales tax
- We collect sales tax on orders that ship to the states where we're registered. Sales tax for trade accounts lists those states and the form each one takes.
- To buy tax exempt, send a completed, signed, current resale certificate for the ship-to state before purchase.
Changes and cancellations
- Changes and cancellations are free within 48 hours of purchase.
- After 48 hours, if assembly has started, a 10% fee on the changed or cancelled items may apply. It never applies when you cancel because we're running late.
- A cancellation before production is refunded in full to the original payment method.
Returns
- Light fixtures can be returned within 45 days of delivery and hardware within 30 days: uninstalled, unused and in original packaging.
- Returns carry a 20% restocking fee. Return shipping is yours unless you added package protection.
- Final sale includes installed items, glass globes, bulbs, sale items, custom color items, and orders of 5 or more of one light fixture style or 10 or more of one hardware style.

Damage and warranty
- Report damaged, wrong or missing items within 30 days of delivery, with photos. Don't install a damaged item.
- Every light fixture and hardware product carries a 2-year limited warranty from delivery against defects in materials and workmanship. Damage caused by changes to a product, such as repainting, is not covered.
- Light fixtures are UL and cUL listed for dry locations.
